Migrating your code

About migrating code

Developers who have existing code from a previous release need to migrate their code to the current version of ArcGIS. This includes basic migration, such as making any library changes, but also changing your code to take advantage of current best practices and framework capabilities.
At ArcGIS 10, VB6 is no longer supported. Migration of VB6 applications to the current version of ArcGIS also requires that those applications are migrated to VB .NET.
