Creating a new abbreviation dictionary

Steps:

1. Enable the Maplex Label Engine.
2. On the Labeling toolbar, click Labeling > Abbreviation Dictionaries.
3. Click New.
4. Type a name for a new abbreviation dictionary.
5. Click OK.

You can now add words and their abbreviations to the dictionary.
