Exporting to notes table (Maritime Charting)
You can export notes in your DNC geodatabase to ASCII files using the Export NOTES.RAT tool in ArcCatalog.
Conversion to VPF is done through the VPF Kit tools available in Nautical Solution Workstation. These tools require DNC notes.rat tables as stand-alone text files that will be directly exported to VPF. The Export NOTES.RAT tool on the Nautical DNC toolbar in ArcCatalog creates these notes.rat text files.
Note tables are exported to ASCII .txt files. For example, the geodatabase note table hydnotestable will be exported and named hydnotestable.txt.
The geodatabase notes join table is exported to an INFO table in the same output location. It is named notes.njt. This table is used to reattach note IDs to ArcInfo coverages created from the same DNC geodatabase.
It is recommended that the output location be the same workspace specified during export to coverage.

This tool will be removed in the 10.2.1 release.
