Exercise 1: Creating a schematic dataset

Complexity: Beginner Data Requirement: ArcGIS Tutorial Data for Desktop Data Path: C:\ArcGIS\ArcTutor\Schematics\Schematics_Configuration Goal: Learning about how to create a schematic dataset

The schematic dataset acts as the entry point for your schematic application. It is the core object that holds any schematic component. It resides in a personal, file, or ArcSDE geodatabase and is generally created within ArcCatalog. In this exercise, you will learn how to create a schematic dataset in a new Personal geodatabase.
