Choosing a spatial reference based on a field

10.2.1 is the final release in which MPS-Atlas is available for installation. It is recommended that map series created with MPS-Atlas be moved to data driven pages. For more information, see Migrating an MPS-Atlas map book to Data Driven Pages.

The spatial reference updates the coordinate system based on the location of the area of interest (AOI) feature. You can use a field in the AOI data source feature class that contains a code that can be used to set the coordinate system.

Steps:

1. Click Select from Field in the Spatial Reference list.
2. Click the Field drop-down arrow and choose a field to use as the basis for the spatial reference.
   Note:

   The field must be populated with the factory codes for the coordinate systems you want to use.

3. Click Next.

   The Buffer dialog box appears.
