Configuring the dynamic text area

10.2.1 is the final release in which MPS-Atlas is available for installation. It is recommended that map series created with MPS-Atlas be moved to data driven pages. For more information, see Migrating an MPS-Atlas map book to Data Driven Pages.

Use the Area tab to configure the area properties for a dynamic text.

Steps:
  1. Start ArcMap.
  2. Double-click the text to edit on the map sheet.

    The Dynamic Text Properties dialog box appears.

  3. Click the Area tab.

  4. Click the Area drop-down arrow to choose the unit of measurement you want to use for the area.

    The value is calculated for the unit of measurement you choose.

  5. Click the Perimeter drop-down arrow to choose the unit of measurement you want to use for the perimeter.

    The value is calculated to reflect the unit of measurement you choose.

  6. Click the Center drop-down arrow to choose the unit of measurement you want to use to center the dynamic text.

    The center value is calculated according to the unit of measurement you choose.

  7. Click OK.
