Authorizing a deployment license

To obtain a license code snippet, also known as authorizing a deployment pack (for a Standard license) or authorizing a Basic license, you use a software authorization number, as described in the following steps. A license code snippet includes one or more license strings.

Steps:
  1. If you haven't already, install ArcGIS Runtime SDK.
  2. After you've installed ArcGIS Runtime SDK, launch the Software Authorization Wizard in Linux, for Java, by clicking Application Launcher button > Applications > Runtime SDK for Java 1.0 > ArcGIS > Runtime Tools > Software Authorization Wizard 1.0 or for Qt by clicking Application Launcher button > Applications > ArcGIS > Runtime SDK for Qt 1.0 > Runtime Tools > Software Authorization Wizard 1.0.
  3. In the first wizard panel, in the Authorization Options area, choose the authorization option appropriate to your needs:

If you have a software authorization number

Click I have installed my software and need to authorize it. Click Next. The Authorization Method panel displays. Skip to step 4.

If you need to authorize additional extensions using your software authorization number
