Authorize your development machine

To develop applications with ArcGIS Runtime SDK for WPF, all you need to do is register for an ArcGIS developer account. Register as an ArcGIS developer for free at developers.arcgis.com.

As a registered ArcGIS developer, you can install ArcGIS Runtime SDK for WPF on an unlimited number of machines as long as only the registered ArcGIS developer is the one using those computers for development use.

You can build as many applications as you like with the SDK, and access any or all the functionality the SDK provides. When you are considering the functionality to include in your application, you should review the License level capabilities topic for information regarding deployment licenses.

Once you have downloaded and installed the SDK you are now ready to perform setup steps for Visual Studio or setup steps for Expression Blend
