Editing Service History Settings

Tracking Server gateways can hold limited history so that clients logging on will receive a more complete picture of the current situation of the tracking data. Upon establishing a new connection, the client application receives all the data currently stored in the gateway history, as well as new data messages sent to the gateway after the connection is established.

To adjust the history settings for a service, open Tracking Server Manager and start Tracking Server if needed.

Steps:
  1. On the Data Links tab, double-click the Tracking Server Connector data link.
  2. Click the Tracking Services tab in the TMS Connector configuration window.
  3. Choose the appropriate history setting for your service.
    • No History
    • Last Known Event
    • Last n Seconds of Event
    • Last n Events
  4. Click Apply and click OK.
