ESRI.ArcGIS.ADF.Serialization Namespace : PersistenceHelper Class




Helper class to serialize managed types and persistable ArcObject components to a managed stream object, which is the parameter supplied in add-in extension persistence methods.

Remarks

BinaryFormatter is used for the serialization/deserialization. Persistable ArcObjects are serialized via XMLSerializerClass or XMLPersistedObjectClass in ESRI.ArcGIS.esriSystem namespace. It also handles advanced custom binding for type lookup when object is deserialized.
